We used to love this place. Since last year it's been under new ownership and quality has drastically declined. Last year the fried flounder was fresh caught and made, this year it's frozen Costco for $14. I couldn't believe it. Plus in the evenings in the summer it's managed by college kids who can only manage to take an order every 5 minutes so it's a 15 minute wait if the line is three groups long.
Just went to get clams, came home and they smelled terrible! We brought them back for different ones (they said it was a different batch) and they smelled even worse! Terrible expirence and never going back as locals.
The place is completely changed an under new management. Terrible place if you are looking for anything seafood related. I received a square piece of fried fish, soggy french fries, and other food recognizably from Cosco for $18.
Any reviews from this summer that are positive on here or Yelp are clearly fake. If this place stays open for another summer, I'd be surprised.
Avoid at all cost.
Unfortunately, things have changed...almost overnight. The menu went from great to sad. The people who work there seem to hate speaking to customers. The oysters were shocked terribly. My wife couldn't even eat any for fear of choking on broken bits of shells. I could go on and on but it's just saddening that a staple in this area for years and years could get THIS BAD so quickly.
Good food and fast.
I've been coming here food over 10 years and used to introduce this place to everyone I knew. It used to be a fun experience even when there were long lines. They always had the freshest food....
